POST.CONSUMER.CULT (2010–2020) is a transmedia content cloud by Iain Ball — part artwork, part information system — first built during the rise of post-internet art and revisited in 2020. It remixes, replaces, and reactivates its own material across time and media. Featured in Katja Novitskova’s Post Internet Survival Guide (2010). The images stage cultural collapse and technological acceleration as one field: brand marks (The North Face, Google, Samsung, HDMI, Siemens), disaster and riot footage, oil and fire, biometric heads, mannequins, CCTV, desktop windows, nature archives, and mutated celebrity — including Beyoncé With Elongated Skull. Transhumanist and new-age currents sit inside the same wreckage as authoritarianism, surveillance, automation, and technocapitalist control. The contract deploys the original 2010 content as both historical artifact and an ongoing framework for civilization’s fragmentation. The cloud is live at iainball.ar.io/postconsumercult.html.
